In the “before times” it was put on as a live stage show in New York City, Los Angeles and Washington D.C and now is a weekly show streamed live to Facebook and also available on the Adult Spelling Bee channel on YouTube. Each episode is a different theme with your favorite writers, actors and comedians competing to be crowned the winner.
The Rules
Every week a different theme! Every week is full of surprises!
Each player is given a word one at a time with a definition and sample sentence adhering to that show’s theme.
Players have to buzz in as the judge gives out a word, if they spell the word incorrectly they lose a point and another player can buzz in and steal for double points.
The top two players compete head to head in a Lightning Round, spelling as many words as they can in one minute.
